This summer I got puzzled by the popularity of Scandinavian noir in Italy. So, after Nesbø, I have been reading the millennium trilogy by Stieg Larsson. I loved Lisbeth Salander!
But I am still puzzled...Why people who live in such a quiet part of the world write stories that are so dark and violent? I am not sure the dark and long winter nights are enough to explain. On the other side, why Italians love scandinavian noir so much? I feel it is so far (landscapes, culture, atmosphere...)
Recommended!
testing, benchmarking, ranking, etc. etc.
If you feel uneasy with these buzzwords and you think they do not tell the whole story, you might find interesting the book "Beyond quality ...". Though it refers mainly to early childhood education, its message is much wider.
Some food for thoughts ...In more than 40 years the pre-schools of Reggio have never been evaluating themselves against some easy measurable predefined criteria, nor they have "tested" their children. ...Still they are an example worldwide.
Libro comprato al volo e per caso. Quindi letto senza molte aspettative - Bello!
